Ocarina of Time Remake Announced

Ocarina of Time has a remake coming. Join me as we explore the details!

The Nintendo Switch 2 is Nintendo’s next main console after the original Switch. It’s basically a stronger version of the Switch that still works handheld and docked, but with upgraded hardware so games can run smoother, sharper and with a better playing experience.

On the price of the Switch 2: the most consistent official range people are pointing to is about 450 US dollars for the base console at launch, with bundles going closer to 500 depending on the game included.

During a recent Nintendo Direct, they officially announced a full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and it’s being built for the new hardware generation.

Regarding platform availability, it’s confirmed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, not the original Switch. Nintendo basically framed it as a “reborn” version made specifically for that system, not just a remaster or HD polish.

They haven’t locked down a precise release date yet, just a 2026 release date window.
