Complexity Crew - HAPPINESS | #Vol7

Complexity Crew - HAPPINESS | #Vol7

HAPPINESS by Complexity Crew is a high-BPM hard dance track from Vol. 7, blending gabber, experimental EDM, and complexity-driven sound design. The release focuses on rhythm, tempo, and intensity as expressions of clarity and momentum rather than aggression.

Complexity Crew – Left, Right, Wrong?

Left. Right. Wrong? These words get thrown around constantly — in politics, culture, and online spaces — but rarely questioned at a deeper level. This track from Complexity Crew steps back from the noise and asks something more important: what happens when thinking becomes tribal instead of curious?

Rather than choosing a side, Left, Right, Wrong? explores tension itself. The rhythm moves forward while ideas clash, overlap, and dissolve. It’s not about answers — it’s about awareness.

Musically, the track sits firmly in Complexity Crew’s high-energy universe: driving kicks, sharp transitions, and a hypnotic structure designed for both focused listening and raw movement. It’s intense, but intentional.

This release reflects what Complexity Crew stands for — music that doesn’t talk down, doesn’t sell fear, and doesn’t reduce reality to slogans. Just sound, momentum, and space to think.

Why “Left, Right, Wrong?”

  • Because not everything fits into binaries
  • Because speed and intensity can still carry nuance
  • Because questioning is healthier than parroting

Thanks for listening, thinking, and moving forward with us.

Tabhairteoir Solais, Feiceálaí an Bháis

This release blends mythic themes with industrial force. The title — “Bearer of Light, Seer of Death” — captures the tension between creation and destruction, mirrored in dense rhythms and evolving structures.

Moral Collapse

Granular Vocals: Turning Voice Into Rhythm & Groove | Complexity Crew

Granular Vocals: Turning Voice Into Rhythm & Groove | Complexity Crew

This tutorial by Complexity Crew demonstrates how to use granular processing in FL Studio to transform vocals into rhythmic and percussive elements, rather than traditional melodies.

The video covers: Automating Vocals with Granularizer

The creator shows how to automate vocal samples in the playlist using the granularizer, explaining the functions of wave and granular spacing to create unique sounds like wind-ups and anticipatory effects (0:39-1:37).

This technique can be used for risers, song hooks, or repetitive elements in EDM and house music. Manipulating Waveforms The tutorial demonstrates creating automation clips to control parameters like the attack of the granularizer, allowing for diverse sound manipulation and greater creative possibilities (2:10-2:25).

It also shows how changing samples and utilizing the time function can alter the sound and target specific "sweet spots" within a vocal sample (3:41-4:10).

Adding Effects for Sound Design The video illustrates enhancing the granular vocals with various effects, including EQing (4:38-4:46), adding a flanger for a machine-like sound (4:49-4:56), distortion for a harder hit (4:59-5:01), and a pitch shifter to manipulate vowel sounds (5:05-5:24).

It also explains how different formant settings can make vocals sound more masculine or feminine (5:44-5:52) and how to use a gate for spiral-like effects (6:02-6:13). Integrating into a Track The creator then builds a basic EDM/house track, demonstrating how to make a kick drum (6:24-6:56), create a clap pattern inspired by dancehall style (6:59-7:08), and sidechain the vocals under the kick to ensure the kick dominates the mix (7:12-7:23). Layering and Bassline Creation The tutorial further shows how to layer vocal samples with a clap to create a unified percussive element (7:47-8:01) and how to create a bassline using three oscillators, discussing proper key alignment and waveform choices (8:31-9:27). The video concludes by encouraging viewers to practice harmony and melody creation, and directs them to complexitycrew.com for more content and music (9:30-9:57).

Vol. 7 — Complexity Crew

Vol. 7 — Complexity Crew
Vol 7 Album art

Vol. 7 is here. No reset. No nostalgia. Just forward motion. This release continues the Complexity Crew arc where rawstyle, gabber, and global hardcore intersect without dilution. The focus is momentum, texture, and physical impact—tracks built for movement, not playlists. If you’ve followed the progression from earlier volumes, Vol. 7 tightens the language: harder drums, clearer intent, fewer compromises. There’s a deliberate restraint to this one. No excess decoration, no overproduction gloss. Just pressure, rhythm, and atmosphere doing what they’re supposed to do. The sound design leans industrial without going cold, aggressive without losing clarity. It’s club-minded, but not trend-chasing. Vol. 7 is for people who still value: kick weight over loudness tricks repetition as hypnosis, not laziness energy that holds up outside algorithms If you’ve been paying attention, this volume makes sense. If you’re new, this is a solid entry point.

EDM Mixing in FL Studio — Step-by-Step Walkthrough with Complexity Crew

If you want a real-world look at how an EDM track gets mixed in FL Studio — without presets, hype, or shortcuts — this tutorial from Complexity Crew breaks it down in a clear, practical way. Whether you’re working on house, hardcore, gabber, or any hard dance sub-genre, the techniques covered here are essential to making your elements sit right in the mix.

🎧 What This Video Covers

In this session, Complexity Crew takes you through the mixing process in FL Studio with an emphasis on clarity, balance, and impact. Instead of relying on “one-click” solutions, you’ll see how a professional producer approaches:

Level Balancing: Getting your kick, bass, synths, and other elements to play nicely together without any one part overpowering the rest.

EQ Techniques: Carving space in the frequency spectrum so each instrument has room to breathe.

Dynamics Control: Using compression and limiting to glue the mix while retaining punch.

Spatial Techniques: Panning, depth, and stereo imaging to give your mix dimension.

For harder EDM styles — especially where kicks and distorted bass are central — these fundamentals are what transform a flat mix into something powerful and clear.

🎯 Why This Matters

Mixing isn’t about turning knobs randomly — it’s about making decisions that benefit the song, not just the DAW session. In harder electronic styles, the challenge is often:

containing distorted low end

avoiding frequency masking

keeping the track loud and impactful without distortion

This walkthrough gives you the strategic thinking behind each adjustment — something most “tutorials” gloss over.
YouTube

🛠️ Key Techniques You’ll Learn
📌 1. Kick & Bass Separation

A punchy kick and a solid bass foundation are essential in EDM. You’ll see how to use:

EQ cuts to avoid muddiness

volume automation to let the kick breathe

sidechain compression (if used) to maintain clarity

📌 2. Synth Clarity

Synths can quickly crowd the midrange. The video breaks down:

selective EQ shelving

frequency slotting

layering techniques to prevent masking

📌 3. Dynamic Control

Too much compression kills energy; too little makes it messy. Learn how to:

tame peaks without losing life

use parallel compression for thickness

💡 Who This Helps

This tutorial is especially useful for producers working in:

EDM

Hardcore / Gabber

Hard Dance

Underground electronic music

If you make electronic music in FL Studio and struggle with clarity or impact in your mixes, the ideas and methods demonstrated here can level up your sessions.

Criú Castacht 🌀 – スーパージェム (Super Gem)

Criú Castacht 🌀 – スーパージェム (Super Gem) is a release built around motion, pressure, and clarity. No vocals, no distractions — just hard dance energy shaped with intent. The title comes from a small detail: a sampled phrase that originally said “super jam”, pushed into something new through articulation and context. That shift reflects the album itself — familiar structures reworked into a sharper, more focused form. Stylistically, Super Gem leans into gabber and hardcore foundations while keeping transitions tight and deliberate. Tracks are designed to flow as a full listen, not as isolated singles. Momentum matters here. This isn’t nostalgia, and it isn’t trend-chasing. It’s about keeping the signal clean and letting sound do the work.

The Only Riser & Kick Tutorial You Need for FL Studio!

Complexity Crew: Making Risers [Music Production]
FL Studio Tutorial: Building Risers & Hard Kicks (Up + Down Energy) Sound design isn’t about piling on plugins — it’s about control and intent. In this new video, I break down how I approach risers (up & down) and kick design inside FL Studio, focusing on movement, tension, and impact rather than gimmicks. This tutorial is aimed at producers working in hard dance, gabber, hardcore, hardstyle, and EDM-adjacent styles, but the techniques apply to any genre that relies on drops and transitions. What’s covered in this video: How to design upward risers that actually build tension Using downward risers to signal impact and release Layering and shaping kicks so they cut through the mix Simple automation techniques that add motion without clutter Workflow tips you can reuse in real projects — just practical methods you can adapt to your own sound.

Watch the video here:
If you’re producing high-energy tracks and your drops feel flat, this will help tighten things up and give your transitions more weight. More tutorials and releases coming soon via Complexity Crew.

Vol. 7 — Complexity Crew

This one stays rooted in what Complexity Crew does best: pressure, momentum, and hard dance energy that doesn’t ask for permission. Gabber-leaning, system-driven, built for movement rather than commentary. Vol. 7 lands on Christmas Day.

Vol. 7 isn’t a pivot — it’s a continuation. Sharper structure, tighter transitions, and an emphasis on flow that rewards full-length listening. Tracks are designed to lock together, not compete for attention.

If you haven’t, this is a clean entry point.

The Only Riser & Kick Tutorial You Need for FL Studio!

Risers Up, Risers Down & Kick Transitions by Complexity Crew

Complexity Crew Vol. 7 hard dance release, underground gabber-influenced album cover

Hard dance lives and dies on transitions.
If the build doesn’t breathe, the drop doesn’t hit.

This post breaks down a simple but effective approach to riser ups, downshifts, and kick placement—the mechanics behind tension and release in hardcore, gabber, and fast EDM. No gimmicks. Just signal flow.

🎛️ What This Tutorial Covers Upward risers (tension builders)
Downward risers / downshifters (release + impact cues)
 Kick timing and drop clarity
How to glue all three together cleanly This works in FL Studio, Ableton, or any DAW that supports automation.

Criú Castacht 🌀 – Hardcore Resonance (Official Music Video)

Complexity Crew 🌀– Hardcore Resonance

The latest release from Complexity Crew delivers uncompromising hard dance and complexitycore, built on gabber and hardcore fundamentals with zero vocal elements and no unnecessary framing. This track is driven by sustained high BPM, heavy distorted kicks, and tightly controlled repetition. Instead of drops or melodic hooks, the structure relies on momentum and gradual variation — a style that fits squarely within modern hardcore while retaining a raw, functional edge. By removing vocals entirely, the focus stays on rhythm, texture, and pressure. The sound is direct and physical, designed for movement and sound systems rather than passive listening. Each section reinforces continuity rather than release, making the track feel closer to a continuous force than a traditional EDM format. The accompanying video mirrors that intent. It emphasizes speed and persistence without distracting from the audio, allowing the track’s intensity to remain central. There’s no narrative overlay or visual excess — just reinforcement of tempo and energy. This release sits firmly in hard dance, gabber, hardcore, and complexitycore, pushing intensity without chasing trends or crossover appeal. Watch the full video here:

Vol 7. Complexity Crew: Happiness (2025) [Prank Call Included]

Complexity Crew

Some songs come from a studio. Some come from a moment that just happened.

Before Happiness was a track on Complexity Crew – Vol. 7, there was a phone call I made — just for fun — with no idea it would ever end up in music. One line from that call stuck with me, years later, when Happiness started to take shape. Here’s the original prank call that eventually became part of the song:
And here’s the official Happiness track where that moment lives inside the music:
Vol. 7 – Complexity Crew

That little moment, unplanned, found its place before the bass hits and stayed there because it feels right. If you’re into electronic music — hard dance, hardstyle, techno, found sound, or just real moments making it into songs — you’ll get why this landed. The Complexity Crew Archives

Complexity Crew

Complexity Crew is an independent hard dance and electronic music project focused on energy, contrast, and happiness through sound. Rooted in underground rave culture and modern digital production, Complexity Crew blends hardstyle, gabber, psytrance, and experimental EDM into a forward-looking sound.

The Sound

The music explores intensity without losing emotion. Fast tempos, distorted kicks, melodic tension, and playful sampling collide to create tracks that are aggressive, uplifting, and intentionally human. The goal is simple: music that feels alive.

Complexity Crew embraces both chaos and clarity — heavy drops balanced with humor, atmosphere, and unexpected moments.

Happiness Era

Happiness represents a turning point for Complexity Crew. Instead of focusing purely on darkness or aggression, this era leans into joy, irony, and shared experience. The project openly plays with absurdity, prank calls, and unconventional storytelling while keeping the music hard and uncompromising.

Happiness isn’t shallow — it’s resistance. Loud, fast, and unapologetically positive.

Production & Tutorials

Alongside music releases, Complexity Crew shares production knowledge through FL Studio tutorials, breakdowns, and behind-the-scenes content. Topics include:

  • Hardstyle & gabber kick design
  • 808 sidechaining in FL Studio
  • Mixing and mastering EDM
  • Creative workflow and sound design

The goal is accessibility — making high-quality production techniques understandable without gatekeeping.

Independent & Accessible

Complexity Crew releases music independently, keeping prices affordable and access open. The project values community over hype and believes good music shouldn’t be locked behind paywalls or algorithms.

The Prank Call Behind “Happiness”

There are moments in music that don’t come from a studio session or a preset.
Sometimes they come from real life — unplanned, unfiltered, and completely human.

Long before there was a Complexity Crew track called Happiness, there was a phone call.
Not some dramatic interview. Not a scripted line. Just a call I made for no reason other than messing around, enjoying myself, and doing dumb shit on the phone like any happy person would.

Somehow, in that call, one line landed in a way that stuck with me.
Fast forward — the call ended up in the song. Not because I planned a moment or wrote a hook, but because that line felt right when the music came together.

People have to hear it to feel it.
So I put the original prank call — the audio as it happened — right here for you to listen to:

This isn’t some behind-the-scenes gimmick.

It’s a real moment that ended up in a real track — Happiness, from Vol. 7 by Complexity Crew.

If you’re into electronic music, hard dance, hardstyle, techno, or just appreciate when a human moment becomes music, this is for you.

And yeah — sometimes happy dudes just make fun calls, and one of them works its way into a song.

Stay tuned for more.

808 Sidechaining in FL Studio 21 (Beginner → Pro Workflow)

Complexity Crew: FL Studio Tutorials for Hard Dance & EDM Producers

At Complexity Crew, production isn’t just about loud kicks and fast tempos — it’s about control, clarity, and creative intent. These FL Studio tutorials break down the real techniques used behind Complexity Crew releases, from hardstyle and gabber to experimental EDM.

If you’re producing in FL Studio 21 and want results that translate to club systems, headphones, and streaming platforms, you’re in the right place. All tutorials below are embedded directly for easy viewing.

FL Studio Tutorials by Complexity Crew

Each tutorial focuses on practical production skills used in real tracks — not generic presets or shortcuts that fall apart in a mix.

  • EDM Mixing & Mastering in FL Studio – Learn how to balance loudness, clarity, and punch without destroying dynamics.
  • 808 & Kick Sidechaining – Tight low-end control using native FL tools.
  • Hard Dance Sound Design – Building aggressive leads, distorted basses, and industrial textures.
  • Arrangement & Energy Flow – Structuring tracks for maximum impact on dance floors.

Why These FL Studio Tutorials Are Different

Most tutorials show you what buttons to press. Complexity Crew shows you why. The techniques taught here come directly from finished releases, not demo projects.

You’ll learn:

  • How to avoid muddy low-end in hard dance genres
  • How to push loudness without harshness
  • How to design sounds that cut through dense mixes
  • How to finish tracks instead of endlessly tweaking

From Tutorial to Release

These FL Studio workflows are the same ones used in official Complexity Crew releases. If you want to hear the end result of these techniques in action, explore the discography below.

Complexity Crew – Vol. 7 [Teaser]

Complexity Crew – Vol. 7

Vol. 7 is the next release from Complexity Crew, continuing our underground electronic music series with a tighter, more direct focus. This project is built around hardstyle and EDM, aiming for movement, weight, and momentum rather than excess.

The sound is deliberate and functional: driving rhythms, solid low-end, and arrangements designed to work on real systems. Vol. 7 avoids trend-chasing and instead leans into consistency, energy, and clarity.

About the Release

Ten tracks. Each one serves a purpose. The project is meant to be played straight through, whether in a club setting, a late-night drive, or headphones.

While the tracks are party-ready, the focus stays grounded. Vol. 7 balances intensity with restraint, keeping things hard without becoming noisy or unfocused.

  • Hardstyle-driven structure
  • Underground EDM aesthetics
  • Independent production
  • Built for clubs, cars, and sound systems

808 Sidechaining in FL Studio 21 (Beginner → Pro Workflow)

Complexity Crew: Music Production Tutorial

# FL Studio 21 808 Sidechain Tutorial: Clean, Punchy 808 Sidechain (Kick & Bass Mixing) If your 808s are overpowering your mix or fighting your kick, this FL Studio 21 tutorial breaks down exactly how to fix it using proven 808 sidechain techniques in FL Studio 21. In this guide, we cover proper 808 sidechaining in FL Studio 21, using clean, reliable methods that work across modern electronic genres. This post accompanies the full video tutorial below and expands on the concepts so you can apply them confidently in your own projects.  Why 808 Sidechaining Matters

The 808 lives in the same low-frequency space as the kick drum. Without control, this causes:

Muddy low end

Loss of punch and clarity

Inconsistent loudness across systems

Sidechaining allows the kick to cut through without killing the weight of the 808. When done correctly, the mix feels louder, cleaner, and more controlled.

Method 1: Fruity Limiter Sidechaining (Most Flexible)

This is the most common and powerful method in FL Studio 21.

Workflow overview:
  • Route your kick to the 808 mixer channel as a sidechain
  • Add Fruity Limiter to the 808 channel
  • Switch to Compressor mode
  • Select the kick as the sidechain input
  • Adjust threshold, ratio, attack, and release

This method gives you full control over how much the 808 ducks and how quickly it recovers.

Complexity Crew Tip: Faster attack, shorter release = tighter techno and hard dance results.

Clean low end starts with sound choice and timing, not plugins.

This workflow works for:
  • Hard techno
  • Gabber
  • Hardstyle
  • Trap & drill
  • House & EDM

If you’re producing in FL Studio 21 and want your low end to translate on club systems and headphones, this tutorial is built for you.

Check out the full FL Studio 21 808 sidechain walkthrough on my channel, where I demonstrate each method step by step inside a real project.

You NEED to Hear "Super Gem" — This Album Is Actually Wild

Okay, listen. I clicked on Super Gem expecting something cool — but I wasn’t prepared for THIS. Criú Castacht (aka Complexity Crew) really said: “What if we made gabber even more chaotic, cinematic, and emotionally turbulent?” And then they did.

The energy on this album is unreal. It hits like a storm but somehow stays clean and intentional. It’s heavy without being messy, weird without being random, and honestly just FUN. You can tell the producer cares about detail — tiny textures in the background, big explosive builds, and drops that feel like someone tossed lightning at your headphones.

It’s one of those albums where you finish it and immediately restart it because your brain is like “run that back.” If you’re into hardcore, trance, experimental beats, or just want something different from the same old EDM playlists — this is absolutely it.

Support the underground. Support artists making real, risky art. Go spin Super Gem.

Complexity Crew Teases First 2026 Release: “Emerald Eye” – New Album Incoming

Complexity Crew Teases First 2026 Release: “Súil Emerald (Soleil D’émeraude)” – New Album Incoming

After releasing six full albums in 2025, Complexity Crew is kicking off 2026 with a brand-new sound and a brand-new single. Today, we’re officially teasing the upcoming track “Súil Emerald (Soleil D’émeraude)”, the first confirmed release from the next Complexity Crew project.

A New Era for Complexity Crew Begins in 2026

Fans of Complexity Crew’s psytrance, gabber, and complexitycore roots will recognize the signature energy — but this new track introduces a brighter, more melodic direction.
“Súil Emerald (Soleil D’émeraude)” blends Celtic inspiration with a housier 130 BPM groove, opening the door to a more expansive and emotionally rich style.

If you followed the 2025 discography — Super Gem, Tesla’s Nightmares, Agner, and the Irish/Japanese/English releases — this single continues the evolution while keeping a through line (continuity, coherence) intact.

The title “Vol 7.” hints at themes of vision, clarity, renewal, and inner fire. The French subtitle “Soleil D’émeraude” reinforces the imagery with Emerald Sun, suggesting illumination and rebirth — a perfect metaphor for Complexity Crew’s 2026 direction.

It’s more than just another track:
it’s the opening statement of the next phase.

Release Date: TBD. Click here for Discography!

This is only the first teaser. Cover art, release date, and the official music video will be announced shortly.
If you're a fan of independent electronic music, house, hard dance, or multicultural sound design, this is a 2026 release you’ll want to watch.

Stay tuned — Complexity Crew’s “Súil Emerald (Soleil D’émeraude)” is coming soon.

Discover “Super Gem”: The Hard-Hitting New Release from Complexity Crew

In an era where electronic music often leans toward formula over personality, Complexity Crew’s Irish-alias project Criú Castacht just dropped a project that shakes the dust off the scene. Super Gem isn’t simply an album — it’s a deliberate escalation, a sharpened statement from a producer refusing to blend into the background.  Clocking in with a fierce, experimental charge, Super Gem operates between genres: part gabber, part industrial, part psychedelic rave alchemy. It’s loud, textural, and daring in a way that reminds you that underground music is supposed to take risks.  What makes this release stand out is the production discipline — every track is packed with layered rhythmic structures, unusual sound design choices, and an undeniable pulse that demands to be felt physically, not just heard. It’s the kind of album that replays in your chest.  Criú Castacht’s world is growing — Irish identity, global bass culture, and industrial energy combine into a sound that doesn’t chase trends. Super Gem confirms Complexity Crew as a creator with something real to say, and the skill to say it loudly.

If your ears crave something bold, abrasive, and refreshingly original — then “Super Gem,” the latest album from Creativity-laden underground crew Complexity Crew (under their alias Criú Castacht), wants your attention. Released November 29, 2025, this digital album delivers a dizzying cocktail of experimental electronics, gabber-tinged hardcore techno, and cinematic bass — a total immersion into a raw, uncompromising soundscape.

🔊 A Diamond-Cut Sound

Described on Bandcamp as “a high-energy fusion of experimental electronics, sharp rhythmic design, and cinematic bass culture,” each track on Super Gem hits like “a cut diamond” — with precise edges, rich textures, and a brilliance that demands to be heard loud.

The album is clearly crafted with care: instead of leaning on formulaic EDM tropes, it explores genre boundaries — from alt-electronic and industrial techno, to psychedelic trance and hyper-gabber — creating a sonic palette that feels handcrafted, thoughtful, and bracingly fresh.

For the Underground Heads and Audio Explorers 🎧

Super Gem isn’t made for background listening. It’s for those who hunt for intensity — for the pulse of the underground — and want music that demands full attention. If you appreciate high-NRG drops, experimental sound design, and tracks that reveal more with each listen, this album offers plenty of payoff.

For fans of gabber, hardcore, experimental EDM, or anyone curious about what lies beyond mainstream dance music: “Super Gem” is a gateway — brutal, beautiful, and unapologetically bold.

Complexity Crew: More Than Just a Sound

Based in Windsor, Ontario, Complexity Crew is a collective forging their own path in the electronic underground — releasing work that fuses cultural influence (Irish undertones via Criú Castacht), global bass sensibilities, and club-ready hardcore energy.

“Super Gem” marks their latest — and perhaps most daring — step in what’s already a fast-evolving discography (six releases so far).

It’s global and local at once — rooted in Windsor, yet pulling from wide electronic/bass culture traditions, linking regional influence with global underground energy.
